Privacy policy

This policy explains what UHV Technologies LLC ("we") collects when you use Vacuum Assembler, the website and the app at /app/, and what we do with it. We don't sell your personal information or show ads, and we don't use tracking cookies.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, your name if you give it, and your password, which is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider.
- Your work: the assemblies and reports you save, the STEP files you upload and the parts and models built from them, and the inputs and results of your simulations.
- Billing details: when you subscribe, our payment provider collects your payment details. We receive your name, email, billing country or address for tax, the plan and payment status, and the card brand and last four digits. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage: pages viewed and actions in the app (such as opening a part, saving or running a simulation), tied to a random ID stored in your browser and, when you're signed in, to your account; the site that referred you and any campaign tags in the link; your rough location (country, region and city), your browser and device type, language and time zone. We don't store your IP address with these records.
- Messages: what you send us, such as access requests, contact form messages and support emails.
How we use it
To provide the service and your account; to run the simulations and build the parts you ask for; to take payments and keep tax records; to keep the service secure and prevent abuse; to understand which features are used so we can improve them; and to contact you about your account, billing, changes to these policies and, if you agree, product news. We use your designs and files only to provide the service to you.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase: account sign-in, database and file storage.
- Cloudflare: website hosting, network delivery, the site's server functions, and delivering contact form messages and email sent to our addresses.
- Stripe: payments and billing, once Pro billing is live.
- Google Fonts: the site's fonts are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them.
- Our compute servers: read uploaded STEP files and the assemblies you send to run full assembly simulations.
Each provider handles data under its own privacy terms and only to provide its service to us. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where they operate. We share information with authorities only when the law requires it, and with a buyer if the business is ever sold, under this policy.
Browser storage
We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising. The app keeps a few items in your browser's local storage: your sign-in session, the random visitor ID used for usage records, whether you've passed the demo access screen, and display preferences. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
How long we keep it
Your account, saved work and uploaded files are kept until you delete them or close your account. Usage records are kept for up to 2 years. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires, usually 7 years. Backups roll over within about 30 days after deletion.
Your choices and rights
You can view, export and delete your saved assemblies and reports in the app at any time. You can ask us at hello@uhv-technologies.com to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, export it, delete it or close your account, and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, including to object to or restrict some processing and to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Vacuum Assembler is not meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is limited to the people and systems that need it, and passwords are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Changes
We'll post any change here with a new date, and email account holders about significant changes before they take effect.
