Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and UHV Technologies LLC ("we", "us"), which runs Vacuum Assembler: the website, the vacuum system assembler at /app/, its simulations and reports (together, "the service"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use it for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.

The service

Vacuum Assembler lets you build vacuum systems from a catalog of ConFlat parts in 3D, get a bill of materials, and simulate how the system pumps: effective pumping speed, pumpdown, steady-state base pressure and, on Pro, full assembly molecular flow. You can save designs and reports to your account, export them, and import your own parts from STEP files. We improve the service continually, so features can change; we'll give notice before removing a paid feature you rely on.

Accounts

You need an account for saving work, importing parts and Pro features. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at hello@uhv-technologies.com if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for activity on it. Accounts are for people aged 16 or older, and one person per account; a team needs one account per member.

Pro subscription and billing

• Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly at the prices on our pricing page, plus any sales tax or VAT that applies. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
• A new Pro subscription can start with a free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your first billing period starts and you're charged.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
• If a payment fails we'll retry it and let you know; if it still can't be collected, your account moves to Free.
• We may change prices. A change applies from your next renewal after we've given you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
• Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Your designs and files

Your assemblies, reports and the STEP files you upload, and the parts built from them, stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you: for example, our compute servers read an uploaded file to build the part and run your simulations on it. When you turn on a share link, anyone with the link can add that part to their own account until you turn sharing off. Only upload files you have the right to use. We don't use your private designs or files to market the service or share them with others, except as our privacy policy describes.

Simulation results

Simulations are engineering estimates. They rely on models, catalog geometry, published outgassing rates and the inputs you give, and real systems differ: surface finish, cleaning, contamination, leaks, gauge placement and component tolerances all matter. Results are not a guarantee of performance and are not professional engineering advice. Check critical results independently, and don't rely on them alone for safety-critical decisions, purchases or commitments to others. The Monte Carlo simulations carry statistical uncertainty, which the reports show.

Parts catalog and vendors

Catalog parts are modeled from manufacturers' published drawings and models for design and planning. Manufacturer names, part numbers and trademarks belong to their owners; their use here doesn't imply endorsement. We don't sell parts: ordering lists and links point you to third-party vendors, whose prices, availability and terms are their own. Check dimensions and specifications with the vendor before you order.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• copy the catalog, part models or simulation engine in bulk, or scrape the app or its API;
• try to get around plan limits, access controls or the Pro lock, or access other people's accounts or data;
• overload or disrupt the service, including queueing runs to tie up the compute servers;
• upload malware or files you don't have the rights to;
• resell or sublicense the service without our written agreement.

Reading and indexing our public pages (the home page, parts catalog, simulation and pricing pages) is welcome; see /robots.txt and /llms.txt.

Ending your account

You can stop using the service and delete your saved work at any time, or ask us to close your account at hello@uhv-technologies.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where we reasonably can. Sections on your files, simulation results, disclaimers, liability and the law that applies continue after the account ends.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free or that results will be accurate for your system.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or equipment, arising from the service or these terms. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you haven't paid anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Indemnity

If you use the service for an organization or commercially, you'll cover our reasonable costs from third-party claims that arise from your content or your breach of these terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us at hello@uhv-technologies.com so we can try to resolve it informally.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll email account holders or post a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
